Our American Cascade special was brewed with our friends at Two Flints. Andy, our Head of Production & Product Development, headed over to their brewery to brew it alongside their team. Together we set out to make a love letter to the classic American pale ale, building the malt bill around specialty malts to get close to that Sierra Nevada style and giving the beer a soft, biscuity backbone for the hops to shine against.
The star of the show is old school Cascade from Crosby Hop Farm in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Cascade is the hop that kicked off the American craft beer revolution, and getting our hands on a classic like this was too good to pass up. Expect waves of marmalade, tangerine and, pine in a seriously aromatic pale ale that tastes like a trip back to where it all began.
